Hell is Coming to Breakfast!

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 30 December 2006 08:51 (A review of The Outlaw Josey Wales)

If you are unfamiliar with revisionist westerns or with Clint Eastwood beneath a cowboy hat, this film is the pinnacle of both.

Watch this film with a mouth full of chewing tabacco [or at least that beef jerky chew stuff].

Hilarious!

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 25 December 2006 11:19 (A review of The Whole Nine Yards)

Every time I watch this movie and Matthew Perry crashes into Michael Clark Duncan I almost wet myself!

Such a good flick!

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 25 December 2006 01:33 (A review of Young Guns (Special Edition))

What a great film! I absolutely love it.

Also, if you watch in slow motion, you can see an uncredited cameo by Tom Cruise getting shot up with squibs.

Archangel!

These movies make me pine for the animated series which nurtured me in my youth.

Snowblindness in Cats

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 22 December 2006 01:33 (A review of Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (Unrated Widescreen Edition))

There was a really awesome CG shot where the camera goes through the back of the car and out the front. What an amazing shot.

Not That Bad Kids

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 21 December 2006 01:53 (A review of You, Me and Dupree (Widescreen Edition))

Although this movie has had an onslaught of bad reviews, I still think that this is a decent movie. The lead roles are filled with 3 award-winning actors, and the characters they play are very relatable.

As usual... great special features

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 17 December 2006 01:09 (A review of Clerks X)

Kevin Smith rocks the special features on this DVD. The second disc of this set is the original cut of this flick and contains a great commentary by all the main guys.

This flick makes me want to tuck my pants into my boots and go berserker.

Great Read!

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 16 December 2006 09:34 (A review of SILENT BOB SPEAKS: THE COLLECTED WRITINGS OF KEVIN SMITH)

I really don't know if I can say anything fresh about this great book. I have looked at a bunch of reviews online for 'Silent Bob Speaks' and it all has pretty much been said.

First off, if you love to know hear Kevin speak. I mean if you dig his commentaries and his Evening Withs, then this book is right up your alley.

Seriously get your hands on this book.

Great DVD Features

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 15 December 2006 01:55 (A review of Clerks - The Animated Series Uncensored)

First off, if you were one of the [literally] handful of people who actually peeped this show when it aired, I applaud you. The show was never really given a fair shot being aired against Survivor, the NBA playoffs, and the NHL playoffs.

The animation style is great and the episode writing is well above par. How could this show get canceled?

As with most Smith flicks, this DVD set is jammed with the extras. The commentaries on each episode give an insiders look as to what they believe happened to the show and are easily worth the purchase of the DVD.

Too Much Camera Movement

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago on 14 December 2006 01:55 (A review of I Heard a Voice)

The live show of AFI on this DVD is really good. I mean, if you love AFI you'll love this disc.

What I'm not a fan of is whoever directed/edited the thing together. I mean, it's very apparent that they want the viewers to know that they used a lot of cameras. Every take is like 3 seconds long, so it's constantly switching cameras and angles which took me a while to get used to.
